Implanon

An implanon is a white plastic rod that is inserted under the skin of the inner, upper arm to stop pregnancy by slowly releasing a progestogen hormone into the body. It is an extremely effective method of contraception (99.95%). The cost for the insertion of this is $50. And to remove is $30.

Mirena

Hormonal Intrauterine Device insertion

A Mirena can provide long term birth control. The device is a T-Shaped plastic frame that is inserted into the uterus, where it releases a type of the hormone progestin. It prevents pregnancy for up to five years after insertion. It can be removed at any time and it can decrease menstrual bleeding after three or months of use. The cost of this procedure is $145, and the removal fee is $30.
